Labourites clash with Angela Brown Burke

February 25, 2016

The Mountain View Primary School Polling station in the St Andrew Eastern Constituency was a picture of anger when Mayor of Kingston, Angela Brown Burke arrived.

Supporters of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) were adamant that the mayor should leave the venue as she was only there to "cause disturbance".

They indicated that Brown Burke was making allegations of intimidation.

And the mayor was not refuting those claims. She told Gleaner reporters that she brought indoor agents to be changed over but they were chased away by gunmen.

However, the police were on hand to help resolve the issue.
