Cashier charged after half million dollars goes missing
A cashier who allegedly stole more than $500,000 from her employees has been slapped with charges of larceny as a servant.
The woman, Nicole Stone, 24, of Spanish Town, St Catherine, was charged after $540,000 in sales could not be accounted for.
Stone was employed to the National Wholesale along Cumberland Road Spanish Town St Catherine. Having failed to provide satisfactory answers to explain the missing money, the wholesale's operators called in the police who launched an investigation.
Stone was charged on Monday and has been booked to appear in court on Friday.
