March 22, 2016

The St Catherine North police have cleared the Top Hill main road in St Catherine, which was blocked by residents this morning.

It was revealed that the area has been without potable water for months and the residents are suffering as a result.

The residents used stones, iron, old cars along with other debris to block the road which is nestled on the St Catherine and Clarendon border.

Several residents including students and other people heading to Lluidasvale, Ewarton, Linstead and those traversing Kellits and surroundings communities in Clarendon were affected.

The residents said that the area is being neglected. They also said that if water is not provided in the area the road will again be blocked.
