Inmate dies in prison
An inmate died at the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre yesterday morning. According to the Department of Correctional Services (DCS), the inmate died at the hospital located at the institution.
The DCS says 47-year-old Hector Lamb died of natural causes.
Lamb was admitted to the facility in January 2015 and was serving sentences for robbery with aggravation (eight years) and illegal possession of firearm (five years).
The DCS says Lamb's family has been informed of his death and the Elleston Road police have been notified.
