Missing cop under police probe
A 32-year-old policeman who has been missing since February 12 this year is under investigation, police have confirmed.
Head of the St Mary police, Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay-Clarke, said Constable Ewan Duncan, who was still missing up to yesterday, is under probe for an allegation made against him.
Lindsay-Clarke pointed out that the policeman, who is stationed at Mobile Reserve and resides in Fellowship Hall at Oracabessa in the parish, is not wanted. She declined to give any information on the type of matter for which Duncan is being investigated.
The superintendent also pointed out that she does not believe Duncan's disappearance is related to the investigation into the allegations against him.
"The search continues, he has not being found," Lindsay-Clarke said.
Duncan is of brown complexion, stout build and about 180 centimetres (5 feet 11 inches) tall.
Reports from the Oracabessa police are that about 4:30 a.m., Duncan left home to go swimming and has not been seen or heard from since.
At the time he went missing, he was wearing a white turtle-neck shirt, grey jeans pants, and grey sneakers. All subsequent efforts to contact him have so far proven futile.
Anyone knowing of Duncan's whereabouts is being asked to contact the Oracabessa police at 975-3233, the Port Maria Police Station at 994-2223, police 119 emergency number, or the nearest police station.
