Three shot, one fatally in Clarendon

The Hayes police have launched a search for a man who shot three persons, one fatally in a bar in Hayes, Clarendon last night.

The police say about 8 p.m. several explosions were heard in close proximity to the Hayes Police Station and they responded. It was later reported that a gunman had walked into the bar and opened fire at the patrons, killing one and seriously injuring two others before fleeing in a waiting silver motor vehicle.

The injured men were taken to hospital where 30-year-old Stephen Sammon otherwise known as 'Sabbo' was pronounced dead. He is of a Corn Piece address in the parish.

The others remained in hospital where they are being treated. Their conditions are not known.
