Double shooting on Red Hills Road, St Andrew

Investigators attached to the St. Andrew North police have launched a probe into two shooting incidents, which occurred along Red Hills Road in St. Andrew yesterday.

Information reaching THE STAR is that the first incident occurred in the vicinity of Calabar High School at about 5:15 p.m., and then shortly after in the vicinity of Lee's Food Fair.

The Constant Spring police could not confirm if the incidents are related. However, reports reaching our news team is that a man believed to be a taxi operator was shot and injured.

Eyewitnesses say a man on a motorcycle rode up beside the motor car and opened fire.

The Corporate Communications Unit have confirmed both shootings, and told THE STAR that two men were rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital and are undergoing treatment.

Up to news time, the extent of their injuries were not ascertained.
