Man accused of killing fiancee gets bail
A St Catherine man charged with the murder of his former fiancÈe had his bail extended when he appeared in the St Catherine Parish Court yesterday.
He is Wayne Green, a 40-year-old painter of Tredegar Park, St Catherine.
He is charged with the murder of Kellifa Carney, a 37-year-old labourer of Sydenham Villa, St Catherine.
When the matter was mentioned in court yesterday, it was postponed until June 7.
Allegations are that on April 24, 2012 at about 9:50 p.m., Carney was home in Sydenham Villa, when an argument developed between her and Green. It is alleged that during the argument Green stabbed Carney about seven times in her upper body. She died from injuries received.
An investigation was launched, which resulted in Green being charged with murder.
