Cops seize over 160 pounds of ganja at yacht club in St James

A boat captain who goes by the name Man O War has been arrested by the police and slapped with ganja related charges.

Man O War, whose given name is Cregg Donald, was charged by the narcotics police with possession of ganja, dealing in ganja and taking steps to export ganja.

The police say Donald was arrested after a white Toyota Hilux, owned and driven by him, was searched at  a yacht club in St. James and one knitted bag with compressed ganja amounting to 31 pounds was found.

Man O War is one of two persons to be arrested and slapped with ganja-related charges by the Police Officers attached to the Narcotics Division along with the Marine Police.
In the first incident, on Wednesday, an American man was arrested when a boat, docked at the yacht club, was searched and twenty-five packages of compressed vegetable matter resembling ganja was found, weighing approximately 130 pounds.

Five 15-gallon barrels of fuel was also found on the boat. The man’s identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
