National Arena, Trelawny stadium to get facelift
The Government has set aside more than $100 million to upgrade facilities at the Trelawny Multi-Purpose Stadium and the National Arena in St Andrew.
For the Trelawny stadium, irrigation infrastructure will be constructed at a cost of $57 million, while a $60 million enhancement project will be undertaken at the National Arena.
Work to be done at the Trelawny stadium includes the construction of water catchment tanks, trenching and pipe laying and the construction of a pump house. And at the National Arena work will be done on the bathroom facility, roof and ceiling, windows and doors.
The details of the projects are contained in the 2016/2017 Estimates of Expenditure, now before the House of Representatives.
