Jamaican held with drugs in Bahamas

A Jamaican woman was among two females held with a quantity of ecstasy pills at the Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) in Bahamas Friday.

She is in custody and awaits her court hearing later this week.

According to www.thebahamasweekly.com , Two adult women, one from Amsterdam and the other from Jamaica are in custody following the seizure of a quantity of dangerous drugs.

Reports are that around 3:30pm, officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit acting on information conducted a search of a suitcase at the Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA), where they uncovered just over three (3) pounds of ecstasy pills.

THE STAR gathered that they were subsequently arrested and taken into custody.

Investigations are ongoing.
