Cop being questioned about policewoman's murder

May 07, 2016

The Police High Command has confirmed that significant progress is being made in the investigation into the murder of Corporal Judith Williams.

Senior investigators from the Kingston Eastern Police Division who are leading the probe say they are working around the clock to conduct a thorough investigation. They have also pointed out that the investigation is now at a sensitive stage, and that "several aspects of the information making the rounds on social media are inaccurate, and are at best speculative, and that no credence should be given to them."

Several persons, including police personnel, have been interviewed and statements collected. A policeman has been taken into custody in relation to the investigation, and another man, who was also implicated in the incident, has been taken into custody.
