Sprint hurdler Brigitte Foster Hylton expecting first child

Jamaican hurdler, Brigitte Foster Hylton has hung up her spikes but soon she will be picking up diapers.

The world champion hurdler and her banking executive husband, Patrick Hylton, are expecting their first child.

Foster Hylton's track club, MVP tweeted the news on Wednesday.

"Congrats @iaaf 100mH WorldChamp Brigitte Foster Hylton & her husband as they expect their child 1st child next month," the tweet read.

Foster Hylton  won the silver medal at the 2003 World Championships and the bronze medal at the 2005 World Championships.

She copped gold at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin, Germany and retired after the London 2012 Olympic games.

She is Jamaica's most decorated sprint hurdler.
