A St Catherine man who allegedly stabbed another repeatedly was remanded when he appeared in the St Catherine Parish Court in Spanish Town yesterday.

Charged with wounding with intent is Jevaughn Scott, 24, of North Street in Old Harbour, St Catherine.

When the accused appeared before parish judge Tara Reid-Carr, a bail application was made on his behalf. He was further remanded until June 28 after it was revealed that the medical certificate was outstanding.

The court heard that on April 18, the complainant was walking along South Street in Old Harbour when he was pounced upon by Scott, who used a knife to stab him repeatedly all over his body. The complainant was hospitalised for more than a week as a result of injuries.

An investigation was launched, which resulted in the accused being charged with wounding with intent.
