A family is now mourning after the tragic death of twins yesterday in Marverly, St Andrew. The deceased men have been identified as Rhamone and Ramesh Cummings, 23-year-old twin brothers of a Waterhouse address.

According to reports, at approximately 5:35 a.m., a team of 25 police officers were on an operation in an attempt to find wanted men and guns. It is alleged that the team, acting on information, went to Denver Crescents in Marverly, Kingston 20. Upon arrival, two persons met them at the entrance of the house and allowed them access to the residence. It is alleged that the police advised the persons they wanted to 'clear' the house. It is said that a confrontation followed and the two men were shot and killed.

The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) has since launched an investigation into the fatal shootings. Since then, the officers implicated in the matter were interviewed and served with notices, and the weapons assigned to these officers were also taken out of circulation and packaged for submission to the Government Forensic Laboratory.

Investigators also interviewed witnesses, and the body of the deceased men were processed.

Investigations continue.
