50 killed, 53 hospitalised after mass shooting at a gay club in Florida

Florida Governor, Rick Scott has declared a state of emergency following a mass shooting at a gay club in Orlando, Florida early Sunday morning.

The STAR understands that the shooting has left 50 dead and approximately 53 injured.

This marked the deadliest mass shooting in Minutes States (US) history.

CNN is reporting  that the shooter is 29-year-old Omar Mateen.

Mateen was killed in a shoot out with the police who broke into the nightclub to rescue hostages there.
