Woman on murder charge gets bail
A St Catherine woman charged with stabbing another to death had her bail extended when she appeared in the St Catherine Parish Court on Monday.
She is Vivene McLeish, a 46-year-old vendor of King Street, Spanish Town, St Catherine.
McLeish is charged with the murder of 40-year-old Yvonne Breakenridge of Spanish Town, St Catherine.
When McLeish appeared before Parish Judge Grace Henry-McKenzie, the matter was postponed until July 21. It was also revealed that documents to secure a committal procedure must be produced by that date.
Allegations are that, on July 27, 2015, McLeish attacked and stabbed Breakenridge after she caught her at the home of her boyfriend.
Breakenridge died from injuries received in the incident.
Investigation from the Spanish Town police resulted in McLeish being charged with murder.
