Suspect charged in relation to murder of US missionaries
The Jamaican police have charged one man in connection with the murder the two United States missionaries in St Mary in May.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Ealan Powell says Andre Thomas was charged with two counts of murder this morning and will appear in court "soon".
He said robbery was the motive.
Meanwhile ACP Powell said the Embassy of the United States in Kingston is being notified.
The police are also seeking another man, Dwight Henry also called 'Dougy' in relation to the crime.
"We dearly want to speak to him," ACP Powell said at a press conference at the Police Commissioner's Club in St Andrew.
The police want Henry to turn in himself to the Port Maria Police by six o'clock tomorrow evening.
Fifty-three year-old Harold Nichols and 48-year-old Randy Hentzel, were found dead days a part in the Albion Mountain region of the northeastern parish.
They had left home to visit a house they were building.
The issue had garnered strong international attention.
