Police seek help to identify body

The Stadium Gardens police in St Andrew are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the body of a man that was found in the North Avenue Gully in the parish on Tuesday.

Reports are that about 1 p.m., police were called to the area, where residents reported seeing the body in the gully. It was found lying face down and was clad in a red dress shirt and black pants. The body is of dark complexion, medium build, and about 170 centimetres long. The deceased is also bald-headed and has a straight face and straight nose.

According to information gathered by the detectives, the deceased appears to have been homeless, and lived in the gully. They are now appealing to his relatives, or anyone who might know their whereabouts, or anyone who might be able to identify the body, to contact the Stadium Gardens police at 946-1831 or the police 119 emergency number.
