St Thomas to get four-lane road

July 07, 2016

The Andrew Holness-led Government has backtracked on an earlier plan to deny St Thomas of a four-lane road.

Holness had announced that the re-scoped Southern Coastal Highway project would see a four-lane road built from Harbour View to Bull Bay.

The roadway from Bull Bay to Albion was slated to be three lanes.

However, Everald Warmington, a junior minister in the ministry of economic growth and job creation, said the road from Harbour View to Albion - approximately 15 kilometres - will be four lanes.
