JCF inspectorate probing police shooting

The Inspectorate of the Constabulary, (IOC), is investigating the circumstances which led to Mario Rose, otherwise called 'Bean' or 'Peas',  being shot and injured by the police during a routine patrol yesterday. 

Reports from the Spanish Town police are that about 3:40 p.m., the police were on patrol in the Beacon Hill area when they came under gunfire from Rose and another man. The police returned gunfire and Rose was shot and injured. He was taken to hospital where he is undergoing treatment.

One Colt .45 pistol and two rounds of ammunition were taken from him. The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) has been informed.
