NO WATER FOR EMANCIPATION DAY

Persons served by the Spur Tree pumping station in Manchester my be forced to do without piped water this weekend.

The National Water Commission (NWC) said yesterday some customers in Manchester and St. Elizabeth are without piped water due to electrical challenges at the plan.

Among the communities impacted are Prospect, Downs, sections of New Forest, Farm, Nain, Sea Air, Spur Tree, Greenvale, Hatfield, Dunrobin, Balvenie, Mandeville Town, Georges Valley, Richmond, Old England, Grey Ground, New Port, Ward Avenue, Hartease, Albion, May Day, Brumalia, Marhall's Pen, Mike Town, Lincoln and Huntley.

The NWC said that normal operations at the Spur Tree facility may not resume until Tuesday.
