Men remanded for former cop's murder
Two St Catherine men, who were charged with the murder of a former policeman, were remanded when they appeared before the St Catherine Parish Court on Tuesday.
Andrew Richards and Damion King are charged with the murder of former police sergeant Carlton Morrison.
When the matter was mentioned, both accused were given legal aid assistance in their matter.
The case was then ordered postponed until September 15 when it will again be mentioned.
Allegations are that, on June 24, the mutilated body of Morrison was found in a dirt track at 136 Brunswick Avenue in Spanish Town, St Catherine.
The policeman's Toyota Mark 11 motor car was found abandoned along Windsor Road in Spanish Town. It is said that the vehicle had bloodstain on its inside.
An investigation was launched which resulted in the arrest of Richards and King.
They were positively identified and subsequently charged with two counts of murder.
