Man on the run after killing vendor

The Kingston Central police are now on the hunt for a man who stabbed and killed a vendor at the Coronation Market early yesterday morning.

The deceased man has been identified as 27-year-old Alvin Brown, of Golden Heights, Kingston 14.

Reports from the Denham Town police are that about 6:15 a.m. yesterday, Brown was pushing his hand cart in the market when it allegedly hit another man. An argument reportedly ensued between Brown and the man, who then pulled a knife and stabbed him multiple times before fleeing from the scene.

Brown was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

As investigations into the incident continue, persons knowing the whereabouts of the attacker are being urged to inform the police.
