Gospel artiste Kevin Downswell has encouraged students to do their best in school and to strive for excellence.

"Do not limit yourself. Where you come from should not stop you from reaching for greatness, and education is the key. Therefore, you should be focused," Downswell said.

He was speaking yesterday at the Jamaica Broilers' 24th annual back-to-school treat held at the group's corporate offices in McCook's Pen, St Catherine.

Fifty students were given books, pencils and other supplies.

Christopher Levy, Jamaica Broilers' president and CEO, said that the treat was a way of giving back to the community.
