Farmer sentenced to three years in prison for stealing corn
A man who is said to be a farmer from Clarendon has been sentenced to three years in prison for praedial larceny.
Forty-nine-year-old Cecil Sharpe of Park Hall district, Clarendon, was sentenced in the Clarendon Parish Court yesterday by Parish Judge A. Nembhard for praedial larceny.
The court heard that on December 22 last year the accused reportedly stole corn from a field in the community.
Charges were laid after he was arrested. He was tried in court and later found guilty.
