One killed, two injured in drive-by shooting

The Wakefield police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man who was shot during an alleged drive-by shooting on Sunday night.

THE STAR understands that three people were injured during the attack. However, Warren Hodges of Bliss Pastures in Wakefield, Trelawny, who received multiple gunshot wounds, was pronounced dead at hospital.

The other injured persons are not considered to be serious condition. 

Reports from the police are that, at about 8:30 p.m., Hodges was standing at his gate when occupants of a motor car drove up and opened fire.

THE STAR gathered that it was the second drive-by shooting in the community in recent times.

Investigations are ongoing.
