Man steals woman's bag while wanted for murder

September 15, 2016

A St Catherine man, who stole a female's bag while he was wanted for murder, pleaded guilty to larceny when he appeared in St Catherine Parish Court today.

He is Roderick Robinson, otherwise called 'Push Out', a 28-year-old labourer of Caymanas Gardens in Portmore, St Catherine.

When he appeared in court, Robinson did not waste the court's time, as he quickly pleaded guilty to the charge. He was then ordered remanded.

Allegations are that on August 8 the complainant's bag was snatched by Robinson while she was standing at a stoplight near Bog Walk in St Catherine.

The matter was reported to the nearby Bog Walk Police Station.

An investigation was launched which resulted in Robinson being charged with larceny from the person.

It was revealed that Robinson was also involved in a murder case that was being investigated by the St Catherine South Police Division.

The accused is to be sentenced on September 21 when he is scheduled to reappear in court.
