Several St Catherine communities to be without water until Saturday

September 15, 2016

Persons in sections of St Catherine will be without water or experience low water pressure until Saturday.

According to the National Water Commission, there has been a breakdown of the Green Acres Booster Station in St Catherine, which has forced the shutdown of the Kitson Town Booster Station.

This means that persons served by the Kitson Town system will have little or no water until Saturday. The areas to be affected are Kitson Town, Bendon, St John's Meadows, Mercury Gardens, St John's Heights, Mary’s Field and Dovecot.

However, the NWC has promised that trucked water will be provided for these communities during the disruption. The company has also advised that regular water supply will be restored in the shortest possible time.
