Four men were arrested yesterday when the Narcotics police made a major cocaine seizure in the Corporate Area.

All four men remain in police custody, but their names are being withheld.

Reports are that about 7 p.m., a team was conducting operations on Grayden Avenue, Kingston 10. Three men were accosted. A fourth man reportedly attempted to flee, but he, too, was held.

Two motor vehicles that were at the premises, a Nissan Sentra motor car and a Honda Civic motor car, were subsequently searched. A shopping bag with 7.5 pounds of cocaine and US$33,000 (J$4.2 million) was found in the Sentra, while a search of the Civic revealed an additional US$21,000 (J$2.7 million). A licensed 9mm Pistol, which was found on one of the men, has also been seized. The motor cars were also seized.

The cocaine has a street value of more than J$3 million.
