Three high-powered weapons seized in MoBay

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Warren Clarke is reporting that three high-powered weapons and one firearm have been seized in Glendevon, St James, as part of a coordinated search now taking place in the parish. 

According to the police, two AK-47 pistols, one Uzi submachine and one semi automatic pistol were seized in the community. 

Last week, additional security personnel had to be deployed to St James to help curb the violence in sections of Montego Bay and surrounding communities. The parish has so far recorded 200 murders since the start of the year.
