Popular businessman to be buried tomorrow
Popular Portmore, St Catherine, businessman Ronald Waite, who died on September 6, will be buried tomorrow.
A thanksgiving service for the late businessman, who many viewed as a compassionate community leader, will be held at the St Peter Claver Church at 11:30 a.m.
Waite was heralded for his many contributions to the Jamaican society, including involvement in pageants, scholarships, the film industry, athletics, and development projects.
Waite's daughter, Nishka, described her father as "truly supportive and inspirational".
"He taught me to aspire for greatness and to never give up. He was also a huge advocate for education so he could share in the thrill of that accomplishment and the wealth of knowledge one could now use to shape the world," she said.
Interment will be at the Dovecot Memorial Park.
