Matthew pounds Cuba and Bahamas as it heads to the United States

Hurricane Matthew is continuing its violent passage through the Caribbean with the Bahamas now bearing the brunt of the vicious storm. 

Earlier today Matthew slammed into the coastline islands of the Bahamas with winds of 120 miles per hour, according The Weather Channel.

Matthew rolled over the eastern shores of Cuba Tuesday night, and is headed for Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas. 

Forecasters say that Matthew could reach the coastline of Florida as early as Thursday.
