Remember the '10-toe turbo'? Well, use it more often and leave the automobile behind.

Minister of Health Dr Christopher Tufton has been on a campaign to get more Jamaicans to walk.

The minister even announced that an exercise programme 'Jamaica Moves', will be rolled out shortly.

The initiative is part of measures to combat non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and cancers.

"You will hear more about it in the months to come, but it's all about getting Jamaicans even just to walk more," Dr. Tufton said.

The plan to better utilise the the '10-toe turbo' is part of a plan to reduce the risk of developing lifestyle illnesses such as hypertension and diabetes.
