Detectives assigned to the Major Investigations Division have formally charged 40-year-old Marvin Campbell, otherwise called ‘Fat Man’, of Spanish Town, St Catherine, with five counts of murder.

Campbell was listed as a person of interest following a fire at a home in March Pen, Spanish Town, St Catherine, on October 9, which claimed the lives of three children and two adults.

He was also listed as wanted by investigators following allegations of incest and rape.

Campbell turned himself in to the police at the Commissioner’s Office on October 12 in the company of Bishop Rohan Edwards and was charged with rape and incest last Friday.

Following a question-and-answer session earlier today, he was charged with the murders. Campbell is scheduled to appear in the St Catherine Parish Court on November 1 to answer to charges of murder.
