$4 million worth of ganja found hidden in mangroves

Police officers assigned to the Marine Division and the National Intelligence Bureau seized large quantities of ganja and fuel at Great Salt Pond in Hellshire, St Catherine, yesterday. 

Reports are that between 11:50 a.m. and 5:50 p.m., during a special operation in the area, 34 bags of ganja weighing approximately 805 pounds and 31 fifteen-gallon drums of fuel amounting to approximately 1,730 litres were found hidden in mangroves.

The ganja has an estimated street value of $4 million.  No one was arrested in connection with the find.

Investigations continue.
