Canadian woman held with cocaine at airport

A female Canadian national was arrested for breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act at the Normal Manley International Airport in Kingston yesterday.  

Reports from the Narcotics police are that about 4:02 p.m., the female checked in to board a flight to Toronto, Canada, when she was stopped during a security check and her luggage searched. A false compartment was found with cocaine weighing approximately 2.5 pounds.

She is to be interviewed in the presence of her attorney and before formal charges are laid against her.
