Manchester woman hospitalised after stabbing

A Manchester woman remains in hospital following an attack allegedly by her ex-lover, who it is believed also set ablaze at her home yesterday morning.

Information reaching THE STAR is that the woman, who lives near Williamsfield in the parish, was stabbed in the upper body before daybreak.

Our news team gathered that her home was set on fire causing the victim and her mother to run from the premises.

She was then attacked. An alarm was raised and the attacker fled the scene.

THE STAR understands that after the attacker fled the scene, angry residents smashed his car and were about to set it on fire but were stopped by the police.

Up to press time, the man was still at large while the woman remains in hospital in serious condition.
