Motorist's bail extended
Paul Fagan, the St Catherine driver who is charged with killing a motorist along the Hellshire Main Road two years ago, had his bail extended until February 14.
Dead is Michael Johnson 25-year-old forklift mechanic of March Pen Road Spanish Town St Catherine.
When Fagan appeared before parish judge Alicia McIntosh yesterday, it was revealed that the five witnesses have not been appearing in court.
The investigator was told to do a publication in the news paper to seek the attendance of the witnesses.
Fagan's $200,000 bail was then extended by the court.
Allegations are that on Monday May 25, 2015, Fagan was driving a Toyota Corolla motor car along the Hellshire Main Road, when he allegedly overtook a line of traffic and collided with a motorcycle driven by Johnson.
The impact extensively damaged the motorcycle, severed two of Johnson's limbs and also smashed his head.
Johnson was pronounced dead on the spot, while the injured passengers and Fagan were taken to the Spanish Town Hospital where they were treated and released.
An investigation was launched by the St Catherine South Division which resulted in Fagan being charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
