Judges to get high-end vehicles
Twenty judges will roll-out in vehicles valued at $7.85 million each at the taxpayers' expense in the new fiscal year which starts on April 1.
Based on the new budget that has been placed before parliamentarians for approval, some $157 million is to be used to purchase 20 vehicles for judges.
Taxpayers dolled out $137 million for the purchase of 15 vehicles for the judiciary in the current fiscal year which ends on March 31. Twelve of the vehicles were for judges and three were to be placed in the fleet. Those vehicles cost an average of $9 million.
