Teenage boy kills alleged attacker

March 02, 2017

A 14-year-old boy who fatally stabbed a man he claimed sexually assaulted him has been taken into custody by the St Catherine South police.

Reports reaching THE STAR are that on Sunday afternoon, the deceased was one of two men in a car who, upon reaching Three Miles, alighted from the vehicle and held the boy at knifepoint.

The child was driven to a location near the Portmore Mall in St Catherine about 1:30 p.m.

It is alleged the man took the boy into nearby bushes, where he fondled him while holding the knife to his throat.

He allegedly placed the knife on the ground and was removing his clothing when the victim grabbed the knife and started to stab him repeatedly.

He then dropped the knife and fled the scene screaming for help, and managed to escape the man's accomplice who chased him.

The teenager was rescued by passersby who took him to hospital.

Investigators then visited the institution and took him into custody while the probe continues.

A file is being compiled to send to the clerk of courts for a ruling.
