Knife murderer gets 20 years
Orlando McFarlane was sentenced to 20 years hard labour on Monday in the Home Circuit Court for the 2016 knife murder of Jamone Livingston of Wynter's Pen, St Catherine.
McFarlane was sentenced by High Court judge Justice Marcia Dunbar Greene, who told him that it if was not for his guilty plea, she would have imposed a life sentence.
McFarlane pleaded guilty in the St Catherine Circuit Court in January.
The allegations are that on January 7, 2016, the deceased went home and caught McFarlane inside his house.
McFarlane reportedly attacked Livingston with a knife and stabbed him repeatedly. He later died at hospital.
