Wi-Fi hotspots will be provided at the St William Grant Park in downtown Kingston and in Olympic Gardens, St Andrew.

Suzette Buchanan, chief executive officer at the Universal Service Fund, said the hotspots will assist in facilitating entrepreneurship.

"The hotspots being created there is to complement the entertainment activities along the thoroughfare, and to also assist in providing income for small entrepreneurs in the vicinity," she said of Olympic Gardens.

Olympic Gardens provides a rich offering of entertainment events, including the Boom sound clash, Nipples Tuesdays and Whapping Thursdays.

Buchanan said that there are plans to provide hotspots in Spanish Town, St Catherine; Mandeville in Manchester; and Junction in St Elizabeth.
