Woman killed by taxi in downtown Kingston
Residents of Foster Lane, along East Queen Street in Kingston, were left disgruntled yesterday after a taxi driver slammed into a pedestrian killing her.
Persons who said they witnessed the incident said Abina Rodwell, 20, was walking along East Queen Street when a green Toyota Corolla motor car, which was travelling at high speed, slammed into her. The impact sent Rodwell flying. She was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Rodwell's brother, who refused to give his name, said his sister died leaving her one- year-old son.
