Granny fined for urinating in courtyard
An elderly woman who stooped in the yard of the St Catherine Parish Court and urinated was on Monday slapped with a $2,500 for her actions.
The fine was imposed after the feisty woman, Monica Rhoden, 62, of Spanish Town, St Catherine, grabbed on to a policeman's uniform and threatened to urinate on two female police.
Rhoden pleaded guilty to breaching the National Solid Waste Management Authority Act.
The incident, which occurred about noon on Monday, caused quite a stir. While persons were going about their business, the granny pulled down her tights and relieved herself in the concourse of the courthouse.
When placed inside the prisoner's dock in the St Catherine Parish Court and asked to hand over her bag, Rhoden grabbed on to a policeman's uniform and threatened to urinate on two other women police personnel.
She was reprimanded by Parish Judge Tara Reid-Carr who fined her $2,500 or 10 days imprisonment for her actions.
