Easter Monday murder in St James

A St James man was murdered on Easter Monday in the Providence Heights community.

Investigators removed approximately 30 spent shells from the scene.

The dead man has been identified as 33-year-old Omar Little of a Providence Heights address.

The police in the second city have been taken to task as the spate of killings continues to wreak havoc across the parish.

Reports from the St James police are that Little was entering his home shortly after 4 a.m. when loud explosions were heard.

THE STAR gathered that upon the arrival of the police, Little was found on his veranda suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper section of the body.

He was rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No motive has been established for the murder.
