Parents killed in front of two-year-old child
The Clarendon police are probing the circumstances that lead to the brutal murder of a couple in front of their two-year-old child late Wednesday night.
Information reaching THE WEEKEND STAR is that the deceased, 22-year-old Javeen Park and her common law husband, 24-year-old Raheem Morgan, was at their Free Town home in the parish when they were shot and killed.
Their two-year-old daughter was not harmed.
Reports from the police are that about 11:30 p.m. they were summoned to the community of Rasta Corner after residents heard loud explosions.
THE WEEKEND STAR gathered that on arrival of the police, the door to the couple's home appeared to have been kicked down.
Our news team understands that both Park and Morgan received multiple gunshots to their upper body.
THE WEEKEND STAR gathered that the community has been tense since the double murder, and some residents are fearful of further bloodshed.
Efforts by THE WEEKEND STAR to speak with commander of the Clarendon Police Division Superintendent Vendolyn Cameron-Powell proved futile.
The Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) has, however, confirmed the reports, and told our news team that investigations are ongoing.
No motive has since been established for the killing.
