Cop warns cougars
An official from the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) has sounded a warning to women who are having sex with boys.
Detective Sergeant Eunice Crooks-Stirling said that whenever there are cases where an adult woman is accused of molesting a little boy, the authorities will not be easing up.
“The same thing that goes for the man goes for the woman. So the big men who like the little girls, leave them alone. And the big women who call themselves cougars, leave our boys alone,” said Crooks-Stirling.
“You are going to jail for them, too. It is not just the men going to jail for the little girls, the women are going, too. Just leave them and let them have their boys and girls’ days,” she said.
However, one student at a St James-based high school told WESTERN STAR that he sees nothing wrong with the older women having sex with young boys.
“I think it is a good way to get experience. Remember this is cougar country,” the boy said.
Under Section 10 of the Sexual Offences Act, a person can be criminally charged for having sexual intercourse with someone under the age of 16, and may be sentenced to life imprisonment if convicted.
