Captain Burrell's funeral set for Wednesday, June 28
The funeral for the late president of the Jamaica Football Federation, Captain Horace Burrell, will take place on Wednesday, June 28.
Olivia Grange, Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, said the funeral will take place at the National Arena. She said the service will begin at 10 a.m. with a tribute concert followed by a service of thanksgiving.
Burrell, under whose leadership the Reggae Boyz qualified for the 1998 World Cup in France, was 67. He is a retired Jamaica Defence Force captain.
Burrell's remains will be interred at Up Park Camp.
