Public to view Capt Burrell's body today

Members of the public will be able to view the body of late president of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF), Captain Horace Burrell, at the National Arena today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sport Minister Olivia Grange, said no photographs will be allowed at the public viewing.

"No photographs will be allowed, but you can come and take your last look at the captain," she said.

Grange said the Service of Thanksgiving for Captain Burrell will be held at the same venue on Wednesday starting at 10 a.m.

The service, which will be open to the public, will feature musical tributes from Richie Stephens, Ernie Smith, Carlene Davis, and Ken Boothe, among others.

The interment will be a private affair.

The thanksgiving service is expected to be attended by a number of officials including Governor-General, Sir Patrick Allen, Prime Minister Andrew Holness; Leader of the Opposition, Dr Peter Phillips.

Burrell died on June 6 after a period of illness.
